I have worked with kids since I was a kid and it’s getting harder and harder. if I continue much longer then I am stuck in it until retirement. I am not sure I will survive in teaching for another 15 years650cat425, Lumper Humper, InTooDeep and 6 others Thank this.

Trucking is alot the same way. Once u get in it , its real hard to get out. They pay u just enough and give u just enough freedom, its hard to find anything back home that pays the same and has the same type of freedom. If ur independent and introverted person , its hard to escape the truckin life once u settle in. But hey aint nothing wrong with that. Lots of different things to do in this industry . Could make good money doing linehaul or tankers or go the owner op way and start ur own business , or build a fleet, or be like some of us and become tarp monkeys and chase around frozen tarps in a 40 mph wind in the freezing rain, all while standing on top of freight thats 13ft tall covered in ice . Then ya still got to drive thru that crap , man winter sucked this year and im more of a winter guy , but i have a new appreciation for summeraustinmike, 650cat425, Lumper Humper and 6 others Thank this.

Should you make the successful change, might be a good idea to stick with dry box.

maybe you could teach truckdrivers? many on the road never finished training and many more need an attitude adjustment.

Way back when I started driving, it was “I can do this for a while, something better will come along”
Been driving since 1982. A few short gaps here and there, always back to the truck. -
When I worked Oil Field. Those guys were so tame in the Oil Fields. They had no problem with you driving right next to them. I thought it was interesting.
Yup... agree... they are fast. And they don't block the right lane on the freeway either.650cat425, InTooDeep, Dave_in_AZ and 3 others Thank this. -
IDK. Its a vast world with endless possibilities. It will all come together. Probably above my pay grade. I'm just trying to figure out what speed goat tastes like.650cat425, Dave_in_AZ, Zoltan1a and 2 others Thank this.
