got my last load in today, helped move Ledcor asphalt plant and road equipment up here to do some paving. got 9 loads, was a good run. now I'll probably sit for a week or so. feast or famine in this bidness.

no, too much hassle to run stateside. there's a crapload of equipment moving south from up here too...Ritchie Bros just finished a big sale in Nisku, supposed to be almost a thousand loads headed south of the 49th. rates are in the toilet tho, they are only paying $115-$125/hr and that's for oversize.

I should have followed up with "but idk how much its paying" LOL general flatbed freight is steady but not paying great but its improving from the last month or so...

 

with the price of oil tanking, the economy up here has hit the wall hard. lots of big companies selling out, no sign of improvement anytime soon. we're lucky to have disassociated ourselves from the oil patch stuff, we'll be ok but many others aren't as lucky.
