Is "on duty -- Yard Move" on option for you?

"Company owner said that trailers probably should've been uncoupled."
More like ten minutes before the "accident", company owner was yelling at those people, via cellphone, to "get the gawd-&$%# load in!"

    Heh, am I jaded?

Its always easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission.
And I'd a lot rather try to explain why I suck than why I lied.

Yeah it is... But must stay under 20 mph. As soon as I hit 20 mph it switches me to drive.

Basically my company gives me access to ANY and ALL forms of duty statuses... So if it can be used someway in a legal fashion I can do it... PC, Yard Moves, Any Exemptions that may apply, ect. But some of those have limits placed on them... 350 PC miles per day, Yard Moves must be less than 20 mph.

Most DOT officers would probably over look it as a legitimate use... But if you happen to getvthe officer that teaches E-Log inspection you could get screwed royally. I asked a DOT officer in NE when I got inspected last fall which would be the better option. This officer did happen to be the one that teaches E-Log inspection in that region, and she went over my log with a fine tooth comb, calculator, and notepad & pen.

She told me it is way less points and not an OOS violation to be a few mins over hours. But impropper use of PC is technically "Falsifying a log" which is a lot of points AND automatic OOS.

Towing equipment (whatever it was) operator is an idiot. Looks like it was not enough traction to pull truck slowly and he decide to use momentum and tip it out like tree stump.
