    Beach trip you said? Which are you headed to? An have fun. Herd Daytona was crazy last weekend for Memorial Day. I'm sure ya'll are getting the same influx of idiot..err tourists I mean. ;)

    Anyhow...safe trip. No promises on slowing it down. I may go on a binge just to give you seizures on your return.

    Excellent song. Saw them live, post plane crash. With Hank Jr.

    Their drummer Artemis Pyle played a show here on my sandbar at one of our local bars 8 or so years ago. He did a talk with one of our local rock stations, an had some funny stories from before the crash. I didn't get to see him play though, as I ended up being out of town.

    Now that I'm done boring everyone....

    So apparently it is my fault for discussing the head ache of this tractor with a friend of mine. He asked why I had not installed the oil pan yet. I had told him the engine turns over with the rod caps snugged, yet wont turn at all when the rod caps are torqued. That my way to fix it was by putting one thousandth shim stock in the caps and measuring with plastigage to make sure clearances were correct.

    The act of discussing the way that I was resolving the issue, made him think that I needed to be critiqued. That he never heard of using shimstock to open a distance to make an engine work. To which he has been hounding me with costly alternatives. Dont ya just love it when some one thinks you have more money than Bill Gates? I dont mind feed back, I just didnt think feed back meant this fellow should feel it gave him ownership of my tractor.

    I can weld. Well technically. If you need two pieces of metal welded I can do it. It will be ugly and might even hold together for a bit.

    But...

    I’m fascinated by welding expertise like this. It’s ####ing beautiful.
