Buy a barn in Ohio, especially w/Barn Cats added, and OWLS will come. They will OWN YOU. (Don't ask how I know.... )

Oh yes I know. Owls are very aggressive birds. There's a great deal to understand about owls to care for them properly. And when they are natural in the wild, they can give you a run for your money.

But they are still pretty magnificent.

What I wanted to do was rescue an Owl that was born with some problem, that couldn't survive on its own. And I would assist with its defect and have a beautiful bird as a pet.

But as it turns out Uncle Sam thinks I'm too stupid to take on the responsibility of anything other than a cat, or a cow.

You could Google 'Owl/Animal Rescues near me' and maybe volunteer periodically, trying to mainly care for a certain owl, and form a bond with him/her. Yes, they are magnificent creatures.. I agree.

 

He last bid adieu in this, Dave's thread, to all his TTR buddies; on 5/7 ... and hasn't posted since. If you search this thread or his posts, you'll see how we tried to get him to stay....just said he was on 'hiatus' or something to that degree. We all here miss him as well. It was good of you to bounce in here and ask.
