@D.Tibbitt were you loaded at the time of the accident? I think as long as I still had at least 1 of the 2 tires holding air I would have just gone on down the road to the nearest tire shop.

Yeah i am loaded. Both tires are all the way down the cords ... plus the nearest truck stop is petro ontario or ta ontario... and i am completely out of hours on my logbook. Was 30 miles from delivery . Had enough time to deliver and book it to petro ... i found a nice big dirt pull off on a exit ramp here....

Somehow I missed that post also, guys. I'm a day sleeper who's sleep deprived.. I'm so sorry, Mr. @D.Tibbitt .... it's probably happened to MORE of us, even in this thread alone, than you know. I, for one, about 8 years ago had my bossman (at the time)'s Pete 'prettied up' from a privileged MATURE FEMALE ykw in a Mercedes. She came in to my lane from a 'u turn' thing for the cops from opposing traffic, and nothing I could do..... at. all. I wasn't even in the hammer lane, but far right. She gunned it and slid into ME.

224 in Ohio is trucker's run ... and so many comrades stopped to help. They checked on her real quick, and then over to my truck. Tractor wasn't as trashed as I thought...at all. Older truck, less 'gadgets' to bust. Tank was okay. Her Benz? Not so much. I suffered nothing but the 'junk truck' for a spare a couple weeks.

Later find out, she was a Politicians wife..... and yet I STILL won. Crazy, eh?

Best of luck, man. Pick up the pieces and GO ON... (not home like Stevie Nicks.... if anybody here gets that from the old Fleetwood Mac days.)

    Tom
