    F ME!!! F F F ME!!!!

    About 30 mins ago I was just getting ready to head out. Truck has been idling for A/C all day. While getting dressed truck started chugging, and before I could get to the drivers seat it died.

    Still cranks and will fire and die again, davco fuel filter is bone dry, no obvious leaks anywhere that I can see... Tried pumping up fuel pressure manually with no luck.

    Currently waiting on my mechanic to call me.

    GGGGGRRRRRRRR.... :mad::banghead:

    EDIT: Yes I still have fuel... Just over 3/4 of full.

    Saw those, but in the absence of an oxyacetylene rig, figured it would be
    OK. Probably a health nut and never smoked so did not "Set down right chere and study this thang."

    WE HAVE MAIN ENGINE IGNITION!!!!!

    So I used an old fan belt that I carry to loosen the huge retaining ring that holds the davco filter housing in place. Then I used oil from my dip stick to relube the big o ring seal and reassembled the davco.

    I then closed the valve on my passenger side fuel tank cross over line and disconnected the cross ove line. This enabled me to drain some fuel from tank into an empty jug I have. Reattached line and opened valve back up. Then I opened the smaller port in the top of the davco filter housing and poured in enough fuel to bring fuel level to above the darken portion of the filter. I again used oil from my dipstick, to relube the o ring seal for the small top port and reassembled.

    Then I pumped the primer pump until I could barely push it any more. Cranked engine for 15 seconds, pumped primer a little more, cranked engine again... It fired and died. Pumped some more... Cranked engine for 10 seconds... MAIN ENGINE IGNITION!!!!!

    Now I'm letting itbidle for a few to see if fuel level in davco drops any. Should be back on the road shortly.

    :D I are much happier now! :D

    No... But that was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Lol

    I was raised on farms and ranches... You learn to work with what you have at hand.

    Yeah, there was this one time I couldn't get through to the shop, and I got frustrated. Hahaha good job, man. I sure couldn't do it.

    Oh, when I was OTR, there was nothing better than an unnecessary hotel room now and again. Just to get out of the truck.

    Hope that isnt a company truck. If it is, they might be benching you (truck missing in the morning)
