Has anyone here ever gone North out of Albuquerque on the 25 and grabbed the 550 towards Grand Junction?
My trucking mapping is showing that it’s legal. My Rand McNally road atlas seems to say it’s ok. One spot pops up Ourey to Hermosa. I’m not sure about. Never took it. Looks like it might be tight in spots, but it is the fastest.

Couple spots around Telluride that can still get some snow issues. check your weather and road conditions, but it looks like you should be good. Watch your speed through the Indian Nations.

Well made it back home after being gone for 6 days. Took the week off and what did the bride want to do? Yep she wanted to drive to Vegas to visit her dad. I'm like F that all I do is drive sure not doing that when off work. So we fly, while there her Pops had a great idea hey he says let's drive to... he must have heard my eyes rolling back in my head because he stopped mid sentence and he says oh that's right you drive everyday. I says no that is ok if you wanna go there it is fine with me. Guess who ended up driving lol driving his MBZ is much better than my truck. Rant over back to your regularly scheduled WIIS chat

You can take a truck on that route. From Durango to Montrose It is posted as not recommended, but not restricted. Yes it will get tight in some places, close to only one lane. A few of the switch backs, you’ll be able to check your trailer brake lights. Between these two points, you have almost no place to stop, or turn around. Good idea to have plenty of fuel on.
