    Only because i had that 14 hr violation the day earlier. He must have missed it , or just didnt care because it was like 2 minutes over. I had that messed up tire missing tread but it was still legal, per my maintenance dept.

    I can do you one better than having a clean log book for back up.

    Two better actually-

    1) We now carry a copy of our authority, i mean the whole letter.
    2) A copy of our ELD failure policy letter.

    And the reasons we have those, are cause somebody somewhere failed an inspection for not having them.

    Yep the kalispell scale . Not even a scale just where they do inspections. They put a chip truck out of service . They got him before me.... I effed up on the logs... idk where they went to. I saw them the other day while i was flipping thru the permit book... not sure how much points all these violations carry but my safety dept said im treading on thin ice now .
