I ran the gauntlet on weather extremes today. Woke up in Little America (Wyoming) to an inch of snow and 40+ mph gusts at 33 degrees. Got on 80 heading east and it just started snowing and blowing like crazy, as in white-out. The wind around Green River was gusting 60 mph+ and I was all over the road even with a heavy load. Finally got to Rawlins and it broke with a little sunshine. Then 20 miles later, fog so thick I couldn't see 25 yards in front of my truck. I dropped it down to 40mph with my 4 ways on and guys were passing me at 70 without their lights on. Kept looking for a chain reaction pile up but it never happened. Drove 45 mph darn near half way to Cheyenne. stopped for lunch in Cheyenne and then into Nebraska with pounding rain and electrical storms. I can hardly wait to see what tomorrow has in store for me.
