Tried that one, plus a bunch more. Used KeepTruckin for a long time. Found it to really work well, never a problem. The box and cable is around $250.00, and $20.00 a month, maybe less if you pay for a year.

 

I don't like not having a spot to put the BOL. Don't like it when I choose my trailer and truck. It shows nothing. Don't like not having a choice of putting in Empty, or Bobtail in place of trailer number.
All that on top of what it's doing to my navigation.
It also pulls stuff like.... moving me 577 miles for two minutes of driving at home. Doh!
Hopefully the Garmin elog will be pretty decent.
I'll just run paper this weekend. I don't want to pay $30 extra dollars for the elog from Loves. Besides Loves won't take a return on an elog for any reason. I'm earnestly following regulations.
I'll just fill out paper for my days off here. Then go.... show them the logging app for previous days back to 7.

 

Only thing i dont like about jj keller is it doesnt erase prior recap hours after a 34 hr reset. So u have to manually count back how many days from 34 reset to figure out how much hours ur getting back.... Kind of confusing when it says im getting 5 hours back at midnight but i did a 34 reset 6 days ago..

 

Sorry you are having headaches with your elog... this JJKelly doesn't sound right. It should take all the info... and if it's not showing the correct mileage, it definitely needs fixing. I would do the same. Use the paper logs and if DOT asks, you explain why. But get it fixed (or replaced) soon.. You won't be happy if you meet an upset officer who decides to give you a hard time.

 

Wow, that sounds like they have a programming problem.
