The China Hat volcano (North of Soda Springs) erupted as late as 15,000 years ago, with flows nearly reaching Pocatello, 40 miles away......

The Bruneau-Jarbidge Super Volcano eruption was about 10 million years ago, and spread roughly 7,000 times the amount of ash Mount St. Helens did in the 80's. There's super volcano remnants (caldera's) all the way from Reno, NV to the current hot spot location in Yelllowstone National Park. The super volcano eruptions slowly migrated west as the crust moves over the hot spot. It goes off every ????? Probably averages between half a million and a million years.

Modern humans have never seen a super volcano eruption.

This is an interesting presentation of Super Volcanos of the Pacific Northwest from Central Washington State.

Another good program on geological formations across the same area is the one from National Geographic.
It covers a number of state and federal parks in these areas. Also has some for the eastern states.
