Details man deatails! Is it surrounded by trees? In the suburbs? In a city? Are there any trees to slow the wind? Is it dead center to the property? Does it have a garage? Can you park the truck there? Did you haggle the price? How old is it? Is it a hanyman special (as in it needs work)? How many square feet? Is this to rescue the failing marriage?

    Well.

A few days back, I let the cat out of the bag and said Dr Hook was my favorite band.
But my favorite song is by the Allman brothers.
This song makes me think back..
The reason, when I went to driving a truck I was 17, fresh out of high school.
All the drivers where I was given my start where all 50+ years old, some of who had drove over 30 years.
    Now I’ve been out here 20 years..but
I was shown a ton of things, and taught to do it the right way, every time, no one else may see it, or even care, but you will know.
The other drivers, didn’t have to show, or waste their time on some kid, but they did, and an old rule was for your learning, you had to teach 10 others to “pay your due.”
I’ve trained more by double that.
One of them, was a trainer at the tanker outfit I pulled for, but has since left that company for another tanker outfit.

Most of the drivers I know are gone now, But I still remember out running all over the place and the fun we had.
That’s about nonexistent in the drivers of today...

So, on goes another page in history, and another chapter comes to a close, a new chapter begins.
    To Be Continued...
