Yeah but only because it is hard to sleep at home with no truck stop noise, or foreigners screaming at their blue parrot right outside ur sleeper at 3am

Just scared myself. Got load confirmation for tomorrow. Looked up where to deliver. Downtown Chicago!? :biggrin_25521: Then I looked more. That's the brokers address. Delivery is out in Dwight, off I55. I almost had a heart attack. :biggrin_25526:

My CB has been on the fritz lately... Still getting really bad, yet intermittent, interference that pegs the needle... So I have refrained from using it much. Going to wait until I get a new to me truck in a few months and then see what I need to do to get it up amd running again. I got a sneaky suspicion it is in the coax or anntena, as it all started when my mirror got wiped off a few months back.

But I'm sure they didn't say a word... They were mostly megas in front of me.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. When I first saw him I thought "He will let me over once he sees my blinker AND my brake lights"... But no... He all but ran him self into the ditch getting over, his trailer tandems where throwing up rocks, dirt, and even some grass from the left shoulder.... But I think he was more afraid I was going to jump over into him, than he was trying to give me room... Either way he was a Day late, and a Dollar short.

So on I-70 yesterday in St. Louis I watched as a frieght liner lost its front bumper at speed. Not just a piece either... The ENTIRE bumper just suddenly dropped away clean as a whistle... Or at least until it lost momentum and proceeded under all 5 axles its owner had.

You ever seen what happens when that incredibly large amount of plastic goes under a truck??? The debris field covered at least 3 lanes and consisted of close to 1,000,000 pieces... None of which were much larger than a dinner plate, and most were as small as coins. Was almost better than watching aerial burst fireworks at close range.

So I just rewatched the dash cam footage of my close call earlier today. For some reason the audio was also recording (I usually have that option turned off). I never made a single sound through the entire thing... Could hear the radio, the blinker, even the engine when I downshifted, but I myself never uttered a single sound.

I could have sworn that I said at least a choice word or 2!
