I am thinking extensive bribery was involved.

 

We didn’t wear wetsuits back then. Not that they were not available, just too expensive. Used bicycling shorts and what I guess is called a rash guard now.
For a while was using a wrestling suit as well.
Next thing you know “ surf bibs” came out.

 

Given the roster I can understand why.

 

My nickname is Otter. Comes from not wearing a wetsuit...

 

IM glad i aint the only one .. getting harder and harder to get out of bed everyday thinking about what the #### is gonna go wrong today lol oh well thats truckin

 

My father when he was alive thought it was great fun to have a 50 shilling coin in his pocket. He thought it was fun to set off all the metal detectors by walking near them. Even after he had died, the executor of his estate asked me why Dad had that coin buried in his wallet. I told him to go visit a police station and ask about it. He replied in a phone call a few days later, laughing he called me a sob. At least he appreciated the joke of Dad's

 

The water down south is a lot warmer.
