Saw my first bison this past winter. Was headed down some highway in wyoming going to the black thunder coal mine and there was a big herd of them off the side of the road. Really cool looking animals , but did not want to stick around and see what kind of damage they could do to big blue lol

Not lately, they have been slow to clear it. Starting to get like Cali too, quick to put up chain requirements.

I despise 70 east of maybe Gypsum. All them Subaru driving idiots.

They're very nice. But don't want to get too close to them. They won't tolerate it.
A guy on the Pine Ridge Reservation. He has some tame Buffalo. You can go there and ride them. Or have your picture taken with your arm around one.

One day I was going to a place in The Hills. Driving an old Trash Truck. Thing had one of those turbo's that literally screamed. Came over this hill. There was the king of the Bison herd. He's always alone. Always ready to have to fight. His eyes lit up. Scared him. I let go of the gas pedal. Didn't want to scare him. He didn't want to have it out with that truck. But he would if he had to.

Had a delivery at a ranch where the raise them for meat. They are used to people around them. Beautiful animals. Did keep a respectable distance. One of the hands says they’re very docile until perturbed about something, then look out. The other problem is, you never know what’s going to get them started.

And once they get started it can take quite awhile before they calm down.
