Good mornin all. Welcome to the group @Wolfgirl117
Everything here is fair game. Humor is tongue in cheek. Please dont get offended, we mean it in jest only. If we step out of line let us know. Since your not a guy you can skip pages to catch up. We wont accuse you of losing your man card. Grin (a common joke here)

Doh. I forgot she's trying to be one.

So she won't understand half of the jokes.

    Still in Knoxville.

The burger last night was all I hoped for and more.

Unfortunately, what I thought was an asphalt smell in the cab (due to having been to an asphalt plant yesterday), upon further investigation turned out to be a sulfated battery spewing out sulfides of hydrogen.

So down to the TA shop and get four new batteries installed. Fortunately, my TM was the on-call dispatch, and is well-versed in the correct procedures for getting a vendor paid.

Still, this all took until 10pm, and I had been up since 2am, so when I hit the rack, I'm pretty sure it was rhinoceros sleep.

So, rested, refreshed, and 5.5 hours from home, I'm gonna grab a coffee and breakfast sammich from the fuel island, and get going. If I can stomp down the "get-home-itis", I'll stop in Corbin and hit Sonny's BBQ for lunch.

And before anyone asks, YES, I delivered corn syrup to an ASPHALT plant.

"Corn syrup? Man, that crap's in EVERYTHING!!!!"

It really is. Like you wouldn't believe.

Got an appointment for my mechanical test Monday. The TM also wants me to talk with the first shift mech, and get a tour of the shop.

    Exciting and scary.

Awright, time to put on the driver boots. Later!!

The straposuarus rex, according to @otterinthewater is an older species of non tarping flatbed operator. They can get rather grumpy when they don’t have a constant supply of feed.

Saw a foolish 4 wheeler on way home from town. Shiny new flat bed bumper hitch style trailer and one loading strap trying to hold half a lift orf plywood. He got about 2 miles out of town before the load shifted. All I did was laugh. Silly man was trying to move the whole lift by hand as one solid piece. No camera so no pics. If we were in the pickup I could have helped. It is still dead at home until monday.

It has been decided by the full house committee, that Samsung products will no longer be allowed within the premises. In the last few years, every Samsung product that has been in the house has died a miserable death. Of course the deaths have come at most in-opportune times.
At the time these products were purchased, they had high consumer report ratings. That was 6 to 8 years ago. All of the major appliances of the house have died, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, drier, range. All less than 8 years old.
    All Samsung. Not any more.
