    It is the #1 problem we have had with the Volvo D13 engine. For some reason the cams wear out. We drain every 50k miles. My truck has only seen 1800 or higher RPM like 3 times in the 2 years I've been driving it, each was in an emergency stop or rapid deceleration to avoid a collision.

    I don't think the cam is really wore that bad yet, the engine sounds great. It does seem to have a very slight "tick" that comes and goes. Its so subtle that you really have to listen closely to hear it... And like I said it comes and goes. First noticed it about a month ago.

    Im sure the shop will go through and fix everything they can find... The warranty expires in 25k miles.
