I bought 10 acres a few years back and put up a shed on it. Now I’m trying to get a house built.

    Lepton1 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I've had 5 acres. 10 is a really big chunk. I'm leaning more toward something nearer town. Like an old warehouse or something. I'm definitely more partial to the mountains, all the way. Beach doesn't do it for me.
Everywhere in Arizona where you start to get into the pines, is a 100 miles from nowhere, down the 2 lanes. Which is great when you wanna get away, not so great for day to day with the big truck. Need to be able to park it in the front yard.

    Lepton1 and Farmerbob1 Thank this.

I worked today. Load that delivered this morning was 12 pallets / 24000 pounds.
Receiver doesn't have one of those vices that bites pallets to pull them to the back, and their only pallet jack wouldn't fit under the pallets.
So the dude on the forklift puts like 6 pallets in the truck and these guys say they are going to restack them.

I'm going hooollllld on there fella's. Try getting rope through bottom, and the one guy came up with tieing the rope around the center board fishing it through the opening after the first slat.
    Worked.
So that was my job. And I hopped in out everytime in case the rope broke, which it did on the last pallet.

Got out of there. Pickup is 1.5 miles from there. It was bales of plastic to be recycled.
Well they stacked all these plastic drums on top of the bales.
    Receiver has kittens.
I go look man. I'll help you just F unload it so I can go home please.
He did, but I drug about a hundred of those barrels off.
Trailer was thrashed. Just swept it.
    GOOD TIMES!!!!!
No extra money. Body hurts lol.
Plus had to get empty & loaded tickets for that guy.

Those dudes were gonna restack that first load.
    ZOMG!
    The horror.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

We are only a mile away from the "down town" post office. And 6 miles from I5, so not too far out in the middle of nowhere....

I had to talk myself out of the Victorian passenger train depot that was for sale.....

We have chatted about looking for something like this. If I was to do it I would prefer to do it in one of the bigger towns that have a bit more money energy in the downtown area. Would convert it to creative and live/work spaces.
