For some reason my brain just flashed to "ah ah eeh eeh tookie tookie" from George of the jungle IIRC. Now I'm going to have to look up if the Bear Necessities movie is still p.c.

Now now, those barrels are good for at least another 500 years, right?

I doubt if anybody in government cares enough to declare it a "sanctuary" because of a little very toxic waste. More than likely it was because the Chinese locals were sneaking in there and fishing it out, just like they did with my old stomping grounds, the Cordell Banks.

About 75% of our belongings have been loaded...

And I so forgot what a heavy ##### this is...

And this is the tiny one, that was in the house when I moved in, back inside and ready for winter. I really hope the new tenants are prepared with lots of firewood and lots of blankets. That tiny thing barely heats the main room... Forget about heat in the rest of the house. 0830201947.jpg

The wife in her younger years gave some crabs to a neighbor, only after having been with his brother. :biggrin_25523:

All kidding aside. I have had fresh crab in a sandwich and found it to be delicious. Alas Sue Welch died and took the recipe with her. I have had crab in a restaurant and thought it was horrible as it wasnt fresh. As to lobsters? A long time ago I used to enjoy eating lobsters. My sister was in town and treated me to lobster dinner. Traditionally lobsters served at a restaurant are served so that the diner sees the lobster profile. Mine was served looking at me. I lost any interest in eating lobster ever since. Give me a medium well done burger with leaves of iceburgh lettuce, sliced thinly onions/tomatoes/green pepper. Top it with kethup and mayo on a bulkie roll. I will take that any day over anything seafood. Only other seafood I eat is tuna from a can.

Oh and good night all. You can have my seafood.

I laughed so hard when my wife called me and told me that my landlords wife called to ask when we would be out because she... "Already has new tenants lined up and they want to know when the house will be available."

I HIGHLY doubt she will find ANYONE that will be as good of tenants as I was AND stay for more than 1 winter. I made some pretty major upgrades to the house... The most important was the bigger wood stove, which is MINE and is going with me. Without that winter is very miserable. Then there are the pipes that freeze every winter, the roof that springs at least 1 new leak every year, no matter how many times you find and seal them.

The other major upgrades I made were a new front door, and hardwired a thermostat controler to the swamp cooler... Both of which will be staying with the house. I have a new back door, but have yet to install it... It will also be staying, as the landlord provided it.

I will be staying in contact with my landlord to see how things work out with the new tenants... I think the wife is REALLY going to miss have us as renters. But she has come to depend on that income, where as the husband (the one that actually approached me about renting it to begin with, because "didnt want to make money, just want someone to live in it so it doesn't just become a rundown pest infested wreck") doesnt really care about the money so much.
