It snowed yesterday. Fish Creek Summit had snow on it. Potato fields: snow on them. Hay: frosted. Now we've got to get to cutting hay.

    I blame Dave.

What a pain it was to get that intake manifold off. One lousy bolt hidden behind the fuel pump. You have to take the fuel pump off (put it back on for now), to get the manifold off, to get the banjo bolt removed.

I can remember mechanics in the 1970's swearing at the designers whom made things miserable to work on. Having to hide stuff behind three other items when a simple drill hole would have sufficed. Thank God stuff these days are better thought out. I got that manifold off and said the head can wait. Three hours to remove seven bolts. Too bad I dont drink. I feel I need a beer now.

We arrived 7 minutes ahead of schedule.

There will now be deliciousness and relaxation for the remainder of the day.

It's a good thing I cooked a few of them 'dillo's and coon's I picked up alongside 40 when I went through Ark Kansas, and had them precooked on The Hibachi, otherwise probably would have passed out from malnutrition on this leg.

My grass and garden is loving this rain.
Saturday afternoon I dumped out a half inch from my rain gauge and today I had 2 and a half inches in it.

Thats as much or more rain than I see in a year at my home 20!

Edit: a normal year that is.

Well aside from dropping a can of pepsi and spilling it all over my floor boards, today was a pretty decent day. Will deliver in the early a.m. and already have a load waiting for me 130 miles away. So all in all life is good.
