Turns out the residents of California are buying up the homes here. Creating a housing shortage. Tho when the fires are gone they will probably want to get rid of the homes here when they realize there is a thing called snow here. Time will tell.

Housing is booming here in Metro Detroit, building Commercial and residential. Not much inventory, sellers market, and prices are high, for Us. Avg house in suburbs with good school systems 180-220k. I’m wondering how high can they get? At some point, without higher wages, it has to stop, or even go down a bit. Here it all depends on manufacturing, as long as cars keep selling, let the good times roll. Till it suddenly comes to a schreeching halt. About every 8-12 yrs. it seems. Always Feast or Famine.

Median price for a new home in the U.S. is over $300k. per this place: Median Sales Price of Houses Sold for the United States

I hope Detroit metro continues to prosper and climb toward and hold on to close to median. With luck the auto industry has been diluted enough in the local Detroit economy so that the market swings of that industry stops screwing over the region.

Another opportunity for LS road service to impress. Wife thinks you’re nice guy. She called while I was enjoying a pear so then I had to explain where it came from.
