US 12 remains closed both directions over White Pass due to a forest fire and firefighting efforts. EB traffic is stopped 13 miles west of the summit near MP 138 at the jct. of US 12 / SR 123. WB traffic is stopped at MP 183, Oak Creek, two miles west of the jct. of US 12 / SR 410. Estimated time to open the highway is unknown. The road will remain closed overnight, an update will be provided Thurs. afternoon. Access for local and recreational traffic is allowed. There is no thru traffic.

If she dies all bets are off ..... new truck, trailer and new adventure time. That’s driving the sni/landstar research.

Landstar said today on their load board demo the fleet average is like $1.70 for box and $2.30 for flats........

 

Rates are higher than they say. That might be all that's posted. I'm in southern georgia. I'll probably get $3 a mile including deadhead to the Midwest 35k pounds. Our open decked sucked a bit and turned in the step trailer.

 

Volvo hell is nearing a culmination. I had a minor snafu at N.M. POE safety dude called me and got a little snarky( not his first time) so I sent a message to the ops manager terminating my employment. Brighter days are on the horizon. I will walk ditches and pick up bottles before I ever drive a Volvo again.
