    What I dont understand is everyone on the road whom owns and doesnt invest in a OBD tool. It can be as low as $35 to as much as $120. Then you can clear the codes. Or if you have one of the more expensive ones. You can change the frequency of when it reminds you.

    I think you need a bit more than that. Like the Detroit or Cummins or whomever software and a laptop.

    The entire crux of the issue is this-

    So many of these would be wrenches or stealerships charge you an arm and a leg, but it's just a rip off. Maybe was actually $100 part, not $5,000. But they just steal with impunity.

    I've 0 issue with spending the money if it's reasonable, and if it's fixed. But more often than not, it's neither.

    I lost a key player when wrench hung up his tools.

    One way to find out if a shop is honest, is to take something with a hydraulic clutch in to get the clutch adjusted.

    The tire shop I use has always done right by me. When they plug a hole they dismount the tire and patch the inside.
