Sure there is. Do it on a icey road in Maine. I will take hydroplaning over ice. The difference is the hydroplaning will stop eventually. When stuff is frozen? Its all frozen. There is no end to the madness.

I think mostly on ice u can kind of prepare for it.... The hydoplane caught me by surpise. It was raining like mad and i was only doing about 50mph , but the road was rutted out and like 2 inches of water in the ruts.. Had to straddle the fog line for about 15 miles just to keep traction... forget what highway it was but somewhere out by tyler texas

Powered out going up a snow packed beaver slide @ dark 30, slid backa##wards to the bottom. Tried drinking a cup of joe, hand was alittle shakey.LtlAnonymous, JolliRoger, Rideandrepair and 7 others Thank this. -
