I will disagree with you on this. Ice is much more predictable than a hydroplane/water conditions. Ice is consistent, water is not.

My cat used to LOVE Cheez-Its. He'd come running from wherever he was hiding in the apartment every time I opened the cabinet where I kept them. Had to give him a few in his "snack bowl", otherwise I'd get no peace. Sure do miss that crazy cat.

I've seen a few experienced drivers roll right into a situation and never saw it coming. The evil Black Ice.

You SHOULD be nervous and excited.

This is a great opportunity, and the outcome depends upon YOU.

Unfortunately it also depends upon the company. You can get let go through no apparent fault of your own.

Everything you need has already been said. Relax and enjoy the process. We were all rookies once, and we learn every day. So truly, best of luck to you.

I hope you can live up to your "mouth" too, WT. You've thrown an AWFUL LOT of shade on experienced drivers here, when you yourself didn't even have a CLP.

So if you come back here and tell us you flunked out of SWIFT ACADEMY, I'm gonna be first in line to kick off your "epic red-arsed beat-down of the century".

So, holster your mouth and be the guy who observes everything and says practically nothing.

    Return victorious or slain.
    Vaya con Dios.

Regardless of what anyone says your number one job will be to protect your CDL. Period. If it’s illegal or smacks of illegal don't ####ing do it. There’s thousands of new drivers to fill your seat. The company in many cases really doesn’t care about you as a lone driver. We’re all replaceable.

Oh, and speaking from experience whomever your trainer is they’re an idiot. As a former trainer trust me on that. The amount of questions that I’ve asked Dave is ridiculous AFTER I was trainer.

Sorry, man. Wasn't paying real close attention.
I'm a dummy. I presume that everyone have the best intentions.
I will happily stay a dummy and presume the best from everyone.
It's just easier and happier that way.

    My weird world.......
