So we got out of peterbilt for just under 400 dollars. Got 2 new cab air bags and a regular airbag. Cab was only 55 a piece . And regular one was 180 . Not bad at all.... Now we are getting ready to head northbound out of the land of the desert

So does that mean $100 for labor? Or did you buy some floor mats and a hat?

Smart move getting the hardware. I always forget the new fittings. Wrestled them last year, when I replaced mine. I’ve seen them cut the lines ,and use quick connectors, not just on air bags, but anything. I don’t like that, Seems eventually they leak. Don’t forget new brass ferrules, might have to cut plastic lines, to get them back on, much easier if lines are long enough.

Speaking of hydroplaning. Tankers, Down hill pouring rain with super singles on the tanker trailer. Get on the brakes all the liquid goes to the front and the trailer fish tails. Did it once on level ground driving in a tropical storm. Some of the trailers were from the mid 80's. Lol.

    on the topic of repairs
Ever since I bought this new to me pickup? It has had a vibration in the truck around 55+mph. Yesterday the shop realized the front universal was bad. They only charged me $102. Even tho they had parts to replace and 6 hours labor. I think the mechanic felt sorry for me when he saw the oil pan. A different shop will have to do it as this one doesnt have a lift. (they still use a pit)

So far its only wet. The mechanic didnt want to see what would happen if he flaked off the scale. So a different garage will replace a $80 oil pan on the 27th
