Not a good day to be south bound between Weed and Shasta lake. Rumor over the CB is that it’s a fatality and the roads going to be closed for awhile. The back up seems to be about 10 miles long right now.
InTooDeep, lovesthedrive, Dave_in_AZ and 4 others Thank this. -
Indeed. Sick minds, but happy outlook.lovesthedrive, Dave_in_AZ, Cattleman84 and 2 others Thank this.

Got my wallet back from Fed -Ex today (along with CDL, Med card and passport card) — other half is making loud noise about getting off the dime and seek gainful employment — I guess it’s time
InTooDeep, Dave_in_AZ, Cattleman84 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I slept like a baby. Eased on over and undid the chains. I was ready to break down the lowboy and drive the Humvees off the deck, when a guy raced up in a pickup and said to just unchain them, they had a forklift driver on the way.
Dispatch had a load picking up 6 miles east at Point Mugu. The dispatch sheet said the load needed to be blocked and taped. I'm psyched to break out my ladder and get serious. Turns out it's just a 2' tall, 3' wide, 15' long metal box. They insisted on blocking it with an air hammer. 1100 lbs total weight. No need for the ladder.otterinthewater and Scooter Jones Thank this. -
Meanwhile, arrived, found my live load was a drop and hook, closed the doors and off I went.
(After 1.5 hours of them putting together paperwork).
But, nevertheless......lovesthedrive, Dave_in_AZ, otterinthewater and 2 others Thank this.
