Meanwhile I will be spending about four or five hours today sweating my balls off in 97°F and 79% humidity. I might go through a gallon of water and a couple changes of clothes. Sure glad I invested in air conditioning repairs a couple months ago.

The cats were both huddled in the sleeper with me this morning.

Time to start looking at Otay Mesa.

Why did you have to bump this? :biggrin_2552:

I was perfectly happy not thinking about snow.

As the seasons change in Cali, the news will changes from deadly fires to deadly mudslides.....

Still better than blizzards, tornadoes and hurricanes though.

This might turn out to a two gallon day. Changed leather gloves after the first load, soaked in sweat. Waiting to do battle on the second load.

I grew up skiing Cascade Concrete, that heavy wet stuff. First time I skied powder was stepping out of the gondola at the summit of Snowbird near Salt Lake City. I planned to stay near the summit to make fresh tracks in 33" of fresh "pow pow". Instead I skied all the way down to the lodge and bought a snorkel.

I laughed at all the skiers with snorkels the first time up. No more. It isn't fun inhaling a lung full of powder snow at 11,000 feet. Kinda burns. I coughed for days afterwards, but that was an AWESOME day! My head was sinking under the snow on each turn.
