Well I finally got the axle bolts on, had to buy a new spacer between axle and spring, it was worn. Just have torque them some more now. Try to keep them all even.300 lb torque wrench. I need 480 ft lbs. So it’s going to be a guesstimate for now, They’ll need re torqued after a few miles anyways.
What if it Snows?

Them slip sheets are hard to handle on other than a flat smooth sealed floor and with a SS
attachment on the forklift... But, they are flexible, so you could have him lift over the side of
the trailer and you get a hand to help you let them down gently into the inner curves.
Probably be hard to get out, but with your luck on wait times probably could figure a way.Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN, Judge and 4 others Thank this. -
I noticed that right off, but did you see that speck of mouse droppings above and a little
to the left of the valley? No telling where others may be.Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN, Rideandrepair and 3 others Thank this. -

Night all, I landed a driving gig. Too bad it wont show up as commercial miles. A elderly gentleman needs a chauffeur to drive his mini van (with him in it) to his meetings. $25 a week / trip. Hey, its $25 more per week than I am making now. Something is better than me ragging on you guys all day. grin

Ive got a splitting maul that needs that process done to it... But I havent had the ambition.
My first winter burning wood for heat I split wood every night with a maul. I was cowboying at the time, so I didnt get home most nights until well after dark. It was an extremely cold winter that year, it was -20° at mid day for nearly 2 weeks... I can remember stuffing that little stove FULL and getting a roaring fire going to get the twmo of the living room up to 65°, but my bedroom was a mear 40°. By time morning come it was about 10° in the bedroom... Even getting up twice to stoke the fire.
The next summer I built my hydraulic log splitter...
The following summer I built this one for my mother-in-law... In trade her live in boy friend gave me a much bigger wood stove, and an '89 F-250 with a 7.3.
Burning wood for heat became much more enjoyable after upgrading to a hydraulic splitter.Last edited: Oct 29, 2020
