    That sounds about right for that area. Sacramento Valley is running from three fifty to four fifty a cord for dry split oak, madrone, almond, or other hardwood.
    A lot of the low prices you hear are for junk wood or for a "rick" or "face cord" neither of which is a legal definition of a cord. A full cord is 4x4x8 tightly stacked or 128 cubic feet, also tightly stacked.
