I don’t know much about them, unloader valves and such. But basically they run constantly, the Govenor controls the unloader valves to kick it on and off. Any time I’ve had a problem, I start with govenor. Usually fixes the problem. A Bendix is best.New Aramak is good and usually cheaper. . Make sure it’s new, not reman. Other thing is air dryer. New filter or reman dryer. Compressors themselves last forever. I had almost 2 million on mine. Changed it, was still working good, just pushing some oil. Sometimes the spitter gets stuck on dryers. Maybe the govenors acting up? A spare onboard is a must have item. I’ve had one go bad, sitting in a dock. Just never know.

It’s 36 degrees out here. People are lined up for ice cream. It’s crazy, The place is always busy. I don’t know what they put in it. Reminds me of the movie “The Stuff”. It’s not even in a high traffic area, place is a gold mine, has a Cult following. It’s good ice cream, but not that great. Wife’s got a pork roast going. Ready in an hour. Oooh yeah!! Whoop whoop!!!

Roast is calling my name. Just remembered I need to finish greasing the tractor. Warm up a bit first. Then I’m done under there. It’s a greasy mess under there. No rust though.

Stuck unloader valve. I have linked this vid before. Doesnt hurt to check the rest of the top end while your at it.

Granted onn Freightliner, the compressor is near the front of the engine

Go fishing, Cut the grass. Go fishing. Watch the wind blow the leaves away. Go hunting. Skin deer.

Retirement can be boring if you let it. Mama has this list that keeps that from happening. And we don't decorate the lawn. And now mowing is about done so more time for fishing.
