I thought it was comical the driver leaving the landscaping stone in the exit.

A few minutes ago. I saw a Driver take a Truck tire out the Drivers door of his Freightliner. Very impressive.

Well, I found my leak. It’s a flare fitting. Re usable. I had replaced it a while back, because the hose was leaking, at the fitting. They’re handy, but because it’s a flare fitting, not the best for a/c. I cranked it as tight as it will go, without breaking it. Still losing a tiny amount of vacuum. Must be compressor seal. Going to charge it up a bit. Check for leaks tomorrow.

get a small o-ring the diameter of the id. Put a thin coating of grease on the o-ring and stick it between the pipe and the fitting. You wont need to use as much force to tighten it. The grease is so the o-ring doesnt fall off when assembling.

I have also used the paste type of thread sealer (POL-13?) with great success. Instead of the o-ring. Basically your making a seal for the deformity of the joint

I thought about trying an o ring, wasn’t sure how it would work on a flare. Pipe dope crossed my mind, didn’t think to put it on the actual flare. Good idea. I’m charging it up now. Couldn’t figure out why low side pressure was so high.and wouldn’t take Freon. Thinking, now what!! I had left the high side open. Oops!! I’m getting dangerous now, living on the edge. If it’s still a problem, I’ll try that. Thanks.

It’s so cold, it’s taking forever to charge. Maybe I should put the can on the turbo? I’ve been told setting it in hot water works.

8AF481F8-2C55-4040-9B5E-13F8606CDBED.png I really cranked it right with a cheater bar. It’s got to be tight. The green dye will show up, if not.
