    My suspicion on the gold mack is some one got tired of the peeling chrome. Went to a chrome shop and the price scared them. The chrome shop instead annodized the bull dog.

    The ‘85 R model I pulled a dump trailer, grinders, and occasionally a lowboy with had a 300 and 15 speed. It was Canadian built, with a slightly wider spread on the tandem.

    I’m sure that was a fine truck when it was new.

    I thought that crap started after they were bought out, to signify the truck was built with all Mack parts.
