No. About a month to go before I get there. This is the first day of week 3 out with the trainer.

So do you and your trainer run like a team (truck never stops, one guy drives while other sleeps) or like super solo (truck is moving 14 hours a day, if truck is moving one guy is on the Drive line and other is On-Duty)?

Trainers used to run their trainees like team. So Stevens limited the truck's work clock. 15 hours week 1 and 17 hours the rest. So we run supper single

Well, I got to this customer bang on the dot of 1500.

    Usually, it's a 12-hr to 30-hr wait to unload.

    They got me right in......

I still have 4hrs to drive, which means I gotta fight thru Dallas going eb, and hope there's a spot at Duke's once I get there.

Last time I was there, I noticed some "TA Express" signage, and about 20 spots are dedicated to TA's reserved parking system.

I'd pull a 10 in this place's staging yard, but I think they're trying to preplan me to pickup in Memphis tomorrow, so I gotta at least start that way tonight.

It was nice weather when I pulled in, now the sun's going down and it's gettin' a bit chilly.

Well, I guess I'll rattle the travel agent's cage, and find out what's doin'.......

My trainer on my first shift rode in the passenger seat for about 30 minutes, then went to sleep.

Before y'all start thinking, this guy was an excellent dude.

Drove from the POE at the Utah line to Bent Knee Cap Nebraska. 571 miles. Pulled in the fuel island at The J, got almost 7 mpg.

    A basically drove alone.

About the third or forth day he says," Not everyone is like you, not even close. There's times when I get very short trips and don't sleep for 3 days."

He continues......" When you see me pull those curtains and get a good sleep, you have a future as a truck driver."
