    We encountered a gentle 600 mph head wind today for about 275 miles.

    On 4500 miles I was at 7.6 mpg, that 275 knocked it down to 7.4

    You know, you can think of any number of snappy comebacks when you're alive and kicking, but when someone beats on your door and awakes you from a sound sleep, the only natural response is, "yes sir."
    At least that's my world.

    Apparently, and for some time now, some folks are unfamiliar with that phrase.
    Seems like some of the stuff our fathers taught us 50 years ago might go a long way today.
