That’s a great area. I think you’ll like the people. That areas somewhat lost in time, once you get away from I-40. My family’s originally from Crossville, and Livingston. I lived there in 1968, at 4 yrs old. It was great. Hasn’t changed much, Lol. You’ll have to take a ride in good weather. Go to Jamestown, see the Sargent York memorial. Continue on to Standing Stone Park. Head on over to Dale hollow lake. Have dinner on the water. Be ready to wave back at everyone as you pass by them. Lol. My wife couldn’t believe it, first time I took her there. I’m happy for you! Great choice.

Waiting on Cod filets to thaw out. Trying to figure out how to make a good batter without beer. No beer or soda water. Gotta be a way, using milk, flour, egg and baking soda. I miss Arthur Treachers. Had some a while back at a Rest stop on 95, somewhere near Jessup Md. It wasn’t as good as it used to be. But the batter was. They’re long gone since the 80s from this area.

The east coast is a little different than what you boys deal with out west. Less trucks and generally better drivers out there. I could be wrong though. For me, sometimes it's easier to pull the brakes, grab a six pack and a chicken fried steak smothered in GRAVY. Much easier and relaxing than getting your rig all mangled up, only to have some Haitian dude with a blue tooth on spitting in your face asking what just happened. Fn clown show out here. I have stopped asking questions and just due my best to avoid it at all costs.
