    They quit teaching the stab method. I still do that myself. I’ll stab them hard enough to slow down quite a bit, and let them cool, let it roll. New way is steady pressure. I think it’s wrong, but who knows. The new Trucks have brake lights hooked to jakes. Looks like everyone’s riding the brakes now.

    probably because the newer trucks use rotors with calipers as opposed to drum brakes

    That's how I was taught, and I'm not about to change it to keep from offending the sensibilities of the "new" generation.
