Found a vet that would see The OM today.

    The OM has kitty diabetes.

Seems treatable. Insulin. No guarantee, but she seems perked up. Hopefully I can survive the first week or so of caring for her, it's more involved. The OM is NOT a good patient. 4 more hands would be useful.

Back home, soaking in the tub.

I have leftover bbq that I picked up from the 87 BBQ last night.

Mrs Skillet is out running errands, and promised to pick me up some ice cream.

And I'm off until 3pm Monday.

My life is good. Thank you, Lord.

I'm glad to hear she's not at death's door.

But after having to pill a cat, I can't imagine having to give a cat an injection.

What did the doc say about her bacon intake?

    I’m currently doing either my 2nd 30 or a 10 on I-20

Haven’t moved in over 30 minutes.

    Happy New Year!

He says it's more genetic. The injection is a snap actually. The OM is pretty robust. She just annihilated half a can of Friskies after having no appetite. She's up and around for sure. Gotta take her back for infusion of electrolytes for a day or two.

He said I could do that at home, it's 100cc IV ( no vein just in the back ), but he's explaining and doing all this while two of us are holding The OM. It's like, " Doc, I'll have that up my ###."
So he said bring her in the morning he'll do it, and Saturday lol. $30 each time.

Was $510 for everything. he's pretty no frills and direct. I like him.
