Yep im of the same mindset. It is pretty easy to get around the tolls in the midwest and pa but ive found once u get to jersey and further east theres just no good way around it seems like.

 

The nys thruway or i90 was a real nice road for the most part . Actually a pretty relaxing drive for 400 miles . The last time i came up here thats the road i took to get out of mass. But i was company driver at that time so i didnt even pay attention to toll roads just drove watever was quicker

The crane guys were nice enough to cone off a spot for me and blue bird tonight. So here we are for the night. Way better than dirty truckstops. Theres even a river right next to the passanger side. That big post on the right is where all the crap on my trailer is going to be built ..so in a couple days, all the fine citizens of this small connecticut town will have a big huge billboard to look at.

We are supposed to be unloaded with the crane at 7am then were off to NYC.

 

I think it was @Chinatown posted that article about the truck driver that had 7 german shephards in his truck LOL

Easy enough to get around Ohio Turnpike though. Route 2 now has a good section that’s 70 mph. I’ve been in at least 4 or 5 bad jams in Pa. before learning the hard way, sometimes it’s just better to pay.
