Looks like a #### good time. I had some cheese crisps, salami and pecans.

I gotta stop running out of house food. Lol

Been going for walks on my break. Big box store near me. I just do laps and don't even buy anything.

    Beats January weather, though. Lol

It scares the shlick out of me truth be told, but I've played it safe so long, and made so little progress, I thought this was the time to gamble. Honestly, I wish I had made this move last year as freight rates went up, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Just be cautious, save money when you can, and don't blow it being a big shot on the weekends. ;)

Nope, the plan is getting enough built up so that my monthly cost of running drops significantly below the cost of renting a truck, and buying a used 1 with money set aside for the "it's coming" maintenance. Once I've achieved that then it's savings, investing, etc.. I watched my dad work himself until BP, diabetes, and being married to my mother killed him, I want to enjoy life.

Yeah, I've battled my way back from my post-knee-surgery weight of 297. Goal is 200-220, but... still sitting at 250 or so.

Hence the walks and low-carb food.

That's an awesome comeback, and from what I've heard concerning knee surgery not that easy, congratulations.

LA basin is historically SuckTastic for Skate boards. The guys from Mercer and LS both sit for way too long. Not uncommon to see a " Mercer Corner" at the TA in Barstow that forms waiting to get a load assigned.

Long story short Dead head out to some descent freight and next time don't take a load in Unless it pays enough to deadhead you out to a descent freight lane. Got to know your Lanes and Rates

Only positive thing I can add is If you are Hazmat and Tanker certed look for the specialty freight.... Farmers pay good money to get their chemicals.

Any non-refer Ag products out of Bakersfield or Yuma (melons or onions) ?
