    Somebody didn't do a very good job strapping a load of lumber. Eastbound had it scattered across the westbound side just before you start down into Laramie.

    May I threadjack for a moment with the following question?

    From Hermiston OR to LA, is it better to go:

    The Winnemucca to 395 route on the edge of Sierras?

    Or

    Through Twin Falls, ID and Vegas?

    Heading that way this weekend, thanks in advance for any thoughts or opinions. Looks like a lot of 2 lanes either route.

    You're driving through an epic blizzard. You don't want to be anywhere near the 395. Go through TF and drop down to Vegas. The 395 might take you a week right now.
