Come here to Maine and it is maybe one resident in 3 have a snow plow or a snowblower. Each town has their own snow plow or dirt contractor that they hire. While here in the state, it seems DOT has salt yards with maintenance facilities every 40 miles.

Wow 3 trucks per 250 miles. No wonder they have horrific accidents.

    Rideandrepair and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this.

That equipment also sees use fairly often, for most of Texas the purchase of that equipment would take years before the usage came close to justifying the expense. In a perfect world every location would afford all the equipment for possible weather problems, but in reality county commissioners have to justify expenses.

The extreme growl at this house is from my bride. She got a second vaccine dose yesterday and is complaining of extreme arm soreness. Then I informed her that the impeachment hearing is going to continue which preempts the Rachel Ray show. I then had to endure a profanity laced rant which can’t be repeated on this forum. I’m thankful I had my gravy enhanced breakfast before she sparked up. My final thought is garages save marriages.

This is the forecast for the I 30 corridor from East Tx through SW Arkansas. ArDot will spray the bridges and I saw that they already have the plows and salt, well, probably just sand, shakers installed on the dump trucks. Don't ever expect much over in Texas.

This will likely be happening all the way through Arkansas so if y'all have to come through here, be safe.
