    I just checked the NOAA weather site... Winds today are very calm, late tonight though tomorrow they steadily increase to more of a normal level for WY.

    If you make it to Laramie today, that will get you passed the worst places... And if you are headed to Denver that gives you the option of running 287 south to fort collins. By doing so you will avoid most of the remaining windy stretches of I-80 and I-25. 287 can get a little windy as well but nothing like 80 and 25. Good luck in battle.... Are you loaded heavy???

    Well I put a new battery in the truck this morning. Disconnected the bad one yesterday, rotten egg smell.

    My kia soul battery $130 at Wally world. A 950 cca truck battery $85 out the door. Shrug.

    Im pretty sure the bad battery was causing the hard starts in the cold.

    I know a vet who has told a similar tale.

    The guy did some post graduate work at Texas A&M University where he spent a lot of time at the vet school. At the time, A&M had the reputation for having done some pretty exotic things with some very high priced animals. One prized stud horse was being “introduced “ to a high priced brood mare to continue a “royal” blood line. As he was beginning to earn his keep, he backed into an electric fence, and immediately received some negative reinforcement to say the least. His “natural” acts were done because Pavlov was right...negative reinforcement can be very effective. He required manual harvest from then on.

    That is like my mini cooper. For the battery to be replace it has to go to BMW to be reprogrammed. $1200 after all was said and done.

    BMW = Bring My Wallet

    I thought BMW was Big Waste of Money. Like HD really means Hundred Dollars, because everything cost another hundred.
