Over all, how did the cables work?
What was the road conditions?

 

No, definitely not sorghum.

I picked it up from a sugar melting plant.

Flowed easily, but it loaded at 150 degrees, so......

I tasted a dab from the pump outlet, and it was sweet, but not "sugary", if that makes sense.

Not the stuff you'd make gingerbread or shoo-fly pie with. It had wood smoke notes, and a charcoal-ish aftertaste.

Just the thing for a tub of baked beans, or in barbecue sauce to muffle the twang of whatever acid component one was using.

Of course, the consignee WAS a condiment plant.

 

Seminole is one of the best paint schemes already made.

 

4th of july pass was pretty snowy and icey . 3 trucks went by me barefoot passed the chain up area , passed all 3 of them up the hill because they all spun out at the top.... Lookout pass was not bad at all a little snow covered but nothing to crazy... these cables i like em already.. Real easy and light to work with... my only complaint is they dont get super tight like chains because there is no cam tightener... but im gonna be running this route for the next couple weeks so i should be able to get some more use out of them before spring time and see how durable they are

 

Lol as funny as that sounds , you may be on to something !

 

His Father was a saver, very practical. he would take his son to work all summer long. Paid him for working, and made him save the money. Once he graduated, they went to an auction and bought a very practical Cabover. He ran it for years. I’d say both of them earned everything they have through self discipline and hard work. They certainly had a good stream of revenue with a dozen Trucks running. Drivers are paid well. They didn’t live high on the Hog. Most people would have lived it up. Instead they drive vehicles forever. Being frugal. Very smart, good work ethic. Good all around Folks.

 

Do us a favor? Keep track of what the cables cost you, how much you used them...miles, hours, etc,...and compare that to the cost of regular chains under the same conditions.
I know chains are a PITA but you might be surprised at how cheap they are to run.

 

I had a frustrating day in the garage took me all afternoon to hook up the fuel lines and mount the stick and airlines. Hoping better days ahead.

 

I completely agree . But im just testing out different devices.. started with the snow socks and found out they are junk... so we are experimenting with the cables.. Chains dont really bother me, just want to try out some of the other devices they make and see how they stack up compared to chains...
