Massive influx of COMMUNISTS has Arizona highway fatalities up 123 over last year, and that's with supposedly fewer people on the highway due to virus hoax.
The only real solution is increased automobile legislation, and banning driving altogether.
Witness details wrong-way crash that killed 5 people near Morristown (msn.com)77fib77, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 3 others Thank this. -
42,060 bit the dust in car crashes last year. Let's make it so any dilweed can get a license though, and do nothing about texting.
446 killed in mass shootings. Well. That's really bad. No one should have a gun.Old - School, 77fib77, lovesthedrive and 8 others Thank this. -
In any accident that is caused by inattentive driving, including texting or other phone/pad related things, that driver should get the same treatment and penalties as someone driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Including jail and/or prison time and loss of driving privileges.

OR we could make it much more training intensive/cost prohibitive for people to obtain a license. All these city jackwagons want to emulate European countries, they never mention their difficulties in obtaining a driver's license though.

There are many states that will issue a license, without official testing, to anyone that has passed drivers ed and drivers training in high school. Some years back, I let a nephew with a permit drive. As he started down the on ramp to the Interstate, instead of checking his mirrors, he started fiddling with the radio. I jumped on him and asked him if that is how his school was teaching him to get on a freeway. Told me that the school didn't allow them to drive on the freeway and that they had ever even brought the subject up. And they just gave him his license for passing the class. Insane.Rideandrepair, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 7 others Thank this.

My wife WAS a notoriously bad driver, but through years of critiquing she no longer scares the spit out of me. Even her wreck recently, while I am angry about her driving in those conditions wasn't horrible. She lost her license for a year (narcolepsy), and when she got her permit I spent quite a bit of time training her. The bad habits of being "nice" were the first I got rid of, also got her in the habit of "what is the most absolutely stupid decision drivers near her could make".Rideandrepair, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 3 others Thank this.

I am all for the tiered licensing system. For all types of vehicles. Want to drive a big high performance V-8, well its going to take a few years and some testing and some cash. You have to work your way up to it. Get a citation, yep gonna add some time to your current license. If your one of the no clue, stoopid types, your never going to get out of the 4 cylinder class.
Rideandrepair, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 3 others Thank this. -
That would be fine, except those 4 cylinder vehicles can now run and compete with the v8 off the floor at times. A tiered road system would be more functional; except that we know a person may drive fine on 1 but not the other despite, or perhaps because of, experience.
The truth is there is no adequate way of fixing these issues. Even basing it off of tickets is far from "fair". An officer will cite a vehicle for doing 5mph over the limit, while ignoring the individual doing 50 in a 75.Rideandrepair, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 3 others Thank this.
