Yeah I had a HP. Never again. HP's have the problem that if the overheat? The motherboard will unsolder itself and fail to run. Owners are advised to either toss it or try to "reflow" the board. IE take it apart and put board into a cook stove oven and bake it for 15 mins.

Wife used the laptop on a towel. Told her she would destroy the computer. She wouldnt listen and poof there went a $300 computer for ignorance.

Yeah I was home, leaving out again today... As soon as I get a tire fixed on my preloaded trailer. It doesnt appear to be my day... I woke up to find 2 inches of fresh snow and more falling, then I get to the yard to find the flat tire. Oh well, nap time I guess.

Well, we got the vehicle situation figured out, now injust have to pay for it. 21 Ranger STX model. Some bells and whistles, not top of the line but it fits our needs. 16177253785114616436487078993027_88746533636196.jpg

It's thankfully 80 degrees here today. Think we're done with the white stuff for the time being.

If you're not doing anything too crazy, and you understand computers, you really don't need top of the line. I have one computer in my house that is amazing, and that's the one I game on. My server computer is held together with chewing gum and paper clips.

I'll probably end up building another PC. Just got this laptop because I was tired of the POS I was using. I just need to order all the parts. I've only built one PC so far. But I LOVED building it and the results. IT was 900.00 ish. But store bought would have been probably double that. My Mass Effect runs perfectly. My Xbox Controller is working great. NFS: Payback is crashing on the first heist. I don't see my GPU being over clocked. But that is the "known issue" for that CTD.

At a PFJ that has a Huddle House open for business. Any suggestions on tonight's dinner? Never ate at one before.

Still using my computer from 2009 (tower). It always had a heat issue. Removed the side panel and it is no longer a dust magnet and it no longer overheats. The laptop is for when I am out of town for a few. God knows I dont want to come home and find I am 20 pages behind on this thread.
