If you're referring to the dh, Phoenix freight is limited and/or complicated. You can go TSC for 2.5 per mile into freight dead zones that you have to dh out of 200 miles plus to super cheap freight. You can luck tnto one of five cheap loads less than a dollar per mile going into L.A. where you can get 3 plus a mile out. You can take tsc loads at mediocre to low rates into central California where you can go north into the mountainous areas of Oregon and Washington for 1.5 plus or you can go back to L.A. for less than a dollar. I find it's easier to just dh to L.A. for 3 dollars a mile back to Phoenix. Rinse and repeat. You can many times complete one a day at between 870 and 970 a day full turn around. Its totally different out here than in the midwest.

And my experience with West coast freight is significantly different than yours.
Have you looked at moving to more specialized freight?
SoCal/central valley freight to the PNW were my money loads. But I was not skeered of Haz/tanker stuff. That was a couple of years ago, but doubt it's changes that much.77fib77, Dale thompson, 4mer trucker and 3 others Thank this. -

So, if I take a Load to Phoenix to visit my cousin, can I get a load out with my dryvan? Ain’t going to Commiefornia. Not in my Truck anyways, maybe a rental car. Seriously any freight headed east or northeast out of there? Ever? Any specific time of year that’s better? Seasonal cactus loads? Lol. Been meaning to ask for a while now.
