Scraped the ice and snow off my windshield this morning. That didn't remove the smashed bug juice under it that I picked up last week, it just kind of smeared it around.

    I hate April.

Now I’m glad I bought all my plywood 6 yrs ago, when I bought the house. Had a plan, and a $5000 credit card.3/4” 4x8 sturdifloor T&G plywood, maybe 15 pcs. They were $23, 1/2” 4 ply plywood, about 20 pcs. at $15. Along with all the drywall, insulation, interior doors, and 8 vinyl windows. All great prices. Wood and drywalls still in the garage, Lol. Ran out of time and money. Tried to get it together, while renting, for about 8 mos. It was killing me to pay high interest on the credit card. Paid it off quick though. Finally moved in, as is. Cleared out my storage unit. I have all like new kitchen cabinets. Whirlpool bath, Nice vanity, a lot was purchased from Craigslist, back when there were actually some good deals on materials. All that’s left to buy is hardwood floors and a High efficiency furnace and water heater. Maybe $4k at most. Just doing a little at a time these days. Meanwhile the house ( finished ) has more than doubled in price, I’ve paid off almost 20% of the mortgage. About to drop the pmi. Yeah it’s very unconventional. But after being in a Truck for weeks, it’s just fine. Meanwhile my roofs losing shingles. Debating on paying a roofer. Probably will. Some things are just beyond my physical abilities anymore. Materials are $2k alone. Probably a $5k job. Roofs most important, once it starts leaking, problems arise quick. So it goes. I’m glad I bought everything when I did. Prices are crazy. I used to get dog eared fence boards for $1 each. Build a 8’ section for $25, posts were $7-$8. That’s something that will have to wait. Maybe I’ll live long enough to post some progress in the future. Now I’m dealing with working around everything. Exactly what I was trying to avoid in the beginning.

Internationals may become very attractive after the UAW jacks truck prices through the roof.
