As does a red hot poker. At least it does in cowboy movies.
Now release the Krackin of Truth to rain bloody hell on my simple, uninformed noggin.

Never used a red hot poker, though I'm sure it works. The Cayenne I've used before and still have the scar on my arm from that particular cut. Sliced it open on a side trailer door at McLane when the rusty door chain snapped in Grand Junction. Only problem with cayenne is that it makes the burn from salt seem nice.lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN, Cattleman84 and 6 others Thank this.

For the serious head wounds (as in the claw side of a claw hammer ) the stuff to have is a box of Arm and Hammer baking soda.Just dump it on to
staunch the flow, it is clean out of the box, easy to carry in the 1st aid kit, not expensive, and don't age. Had me some experience using it. Does work.Opus, austinmike, lovesthedrive and 6 others Thank this. -
Nice to know as well. I've used the cayenne twice. The first was a blender broke and sliced my palm when I was a kid. Neighbor that was drinking margaritas with my mom and aunt used the cayenne when salt didn't do anything but sting. 2nd time was at work and the skin glue was washing out of the cut on my arm before it could set. Both probably should have been ER visits with stitches, but who has time for that?lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN, Lumper Humper and 4 others Thank this.

Speaking of claw hammers. Someone lost one on 99 south in THE COMMUNIST STATE, in the middle lane.
I saw it and asked The OM," Is that a claw hammer?"
We watched in the mirror as a flatbed in a hurry, heavily laden with plywood rolled over it, and it rolled over claw up.
The OM was like," That's not good."
We could here the " Shhhh Shhhh Shhhh" of the puncture coming from both a drive and trailer tire as he went by, and basically watched the trailer tire deflate in seconds.JolliRoger, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 6 others Thank this. -
As we headed up the hill on 58, a caravan headed by a big wrecker with his strobey flashing thingy's on was going west. He didn't have anyone hooked up, he was leading 3 flatbeds piled with junk, followed by another big wrecker.
Then there were several spontaneous wreckers that were hooked up heading the same way.
The OM concluded that somewhere up ahead in the distance there had been what we call a "HUMDINGER."JolliRoger, lovesthedrive, LoSt_AgAiN and 9 others Thank this. -
I put one of our small kitchen knives on the truck so that we might have fresh purple onion in our truck salad.
The container was maxed, and no room for sliced purple onion.
Plastic knife is good for tomatoes, not purple onions.
But now I can't find the knife.Speed_Drums, austinmike, lovesthedrive and 8 others Thank this. -
Be careful the OM might have taken out a life insurance policySpeed_Drums, JolliRoger, lovesthedrive and 7 others Thank this.
